very early in the morning 6.25am (sunrise 7.18am), I drove my toy left turning on to 287 ramp north, many cars (to 287 north )in the front of my car were slowing down so that tranffic light turned from green with green arrow to green. I was stopped in the middle of intersection so that I had to move forward not to block intersection. the other car hit me on my passage side door. I called 911 and local police stopped by and gave a ticket of careless driving. I have NJ drvier license. should I just pay $85 or fight? I have no ticket since last 5 years. my insurance company is NJM which is a good company. I just do not get two points.

thanks

I think you can just pay the fine and forget about it. If your license is of a different state than you don't get the points or the increase in insurance rates.

I don't know the roads you are talking about but I do know that if the offense took place in a different state it is reported to your state but no points are added. Just pay the fine.
