I think in CA there is no law of a specific distance from a corner or intersection. In other states it is 6 feet from a corner and 20 feet from an intersection or a crosswalk.

There is a law concerning the parking at a corner in California. first you can not block an area where a cross walk would be, marked or unmarked. Second, you can not block an area where handicapped access is needed, like where the curb is made for wheel chair access, (crosswalk). Third, you can not block at a corned where you are blocking any view of on coming vehicles. Fourth, you can not park as to interfer with vehicles making a turn and forcing them into the on coming lanes.

You are right. All those laws apply anyway but I don't think there is a law about a specific distance to be kept from a corner.

Ron, where in the Calif. Vehicle Code does it say that you can't block the view at a corner? This is a big issue in my neighborhood, but as far as I can tell from the CVC and our City Parking Manager, there is no rule against it.
