I would never leave a Toyota Supra out of the picture! I had a '97 twin turbo for two years before I bought my Vette. That is one car i will never forget. It is one tough-built, reliable, powerful car! Stock it had 292 hp on the dyno! I added a ram air intake ($325), a downpipe ($750 it replaces the cat with a large pipe), and a catback system called the turbo medallion ($350) and it dynoed at 372 hp at the wheels! Just like this I made an 11.67 second run with the car without power shifting (I never had to flatfoot shift that car) with less than $1500 of addons (but then again the car wasn't cheap)! Also you would never forget the sound of the turbos spooling up! On the other hand, I just bought my '95 miata and i'm really loving it (yes i still have the vette)! It has been such a joy to drive (it was intended to be the wife's car but i traded with her for this week). Now with the FMII turbo system they are claiming 232 hp at the wheels so we are definately going to do that soon and see what this puppy will do! Does anyone know if the FM clutch is included in that or not b/c i know i'll need a new clutch? So if money is a factor I would definately go with the miata b/c it's an awesome bang for the buck IMHO. Just my 3 cents...

FM turbos pretty much lead to clutch upgrades. The ACT package that FM sells is designed for the power you will be making. I just wish it didn't cost so much.

Yeah it says that the kevlar FM clutch is required...so why didn't they include it??? Especially for the price of $4600 (ouch). We make a pretty decent living but i'm sure I couldn't finance one so it would take a while to save up for (though i could easily sell some stocks but i'm not very willing to do so). Any input is always welcome -Matt

Sell the blasted stocks. Unless they come with you to drive through the mountains.

Well you see i basically live off of my stocks...I hadn't done real 'work' for 8 years until about 2 months ago I went back into being a firefighter. It is very tempting though, I'll have to see just how much i'm going to make firefighting i guess I'll let you guys know how it turns out! There ya go Ken, no more 'boxter' dunno where that came from -Matt
