Saw an interesting how-to on the miatanet for a Folding Front License Plate Mount by Randy Maheux. The only thing that confuses me is the actual postion of the mount. In the pictures, it looks like it's mounted on the BOTTOM of the grille opening. Seems to me that once the wind pushed the mount down, thus allowing air into the radiator core, there is no provision for the mount to return to the Upright position. Wondering if anyone has tried to mount the front plate in this fashion and if they can clear this up for me.

The plate is balanced on the hinge such that the weight of the plate will make it stand up again once there is no more airflow pushing it down. That's why the plate won't go down until you hit 20mph or so.
